How to Print Your Conference Poster
When deciding to print a conference poster, the two main considerations are time and cost. Be sure to give yourself and the printer enough time to process and print your poster. This is an especially busy time for print shops, so advanced planning is essential.
There are several UI departments that offer printing for academic and research posters. All printing charges can vary depending on what you require. Work closely with your principal investigator or instructor to secure funding before submitting your printing requests—services most likely will be rejected without a funding source.

Poster Development Tips
- Standard posters size fit on mounted boards that are 36" tall by 70" wide.
- Keep accessibility in mind when designing your poster. Checkout the National Institutes of Health's Creating a Scientific Poster guidelines for more guidance.
- The material should be well labeled and legible from a distance of 10 to 15 feet away. Lettering should be bold. Use a large sans serif font such as Veranda.
- Consider the Better Research Poster design for an easy-to-digest poster design.
