My career in higher education began while teaching and living in China. My other professional positions have included admissions at Adler University and international student advising at Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago. My most recent role before coming to University of Iowa was at Kirkwood Community College, specializing in international student visa advising and strategizing international admissions and recruitment. I have held several volunteer positions within a professional organization for educators including conference planning and coaching new professionals. I also enjoy being a member of the UI Homecoming Parade committee! I hold an M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Adler University and a B.A. in Psychology from Central College in Pella.

Beyond my professional roles, my mom role is my most cherished and I have fully embraced the “sports mom era” that has overtaken every evening and weekend for our family.
