Custodial & Additional FM Services
HSAB custodial services are provided by University of Iowa Facilities Management and are scheduled based on room type, occupancy, and building usage. Public areas, classrooms, restrooms, and other high-traffic spaces typically receive more frequent service than offices, research spaces, and specialty-use rooms.
Building occupants play an important role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. Please dispose of trash properly, clean up after yourself, report spills or safety concerns promptly, and leave shared spaces ready for the next user. Understanding the assigned cleaning schedule for your space can help set expectations and ensure custodial concerns are directed appropriately.
Custodial Service Levels
Custodial services within HSAB are provided by University of Iowa Facilities Management. Cleaning frequencies and service levels are established based on room classification, occupancy, and building use. As a result, not all spaces receive the same level of service. Classrooms, restrooms, and high-traffic public areas typically receive more frequent attention than offices, storage rooms, and specialty spaces.
