The University of Iowa Department of Health and Human Physiology cordially invite you to attend an open house drop-in luncheon honoring the many years of academic teaching, research, and commitment to the betterment of human health by Professors Benjamin K Hunnicutt and Warren G Darling.
Professor Hunnicutt received his MA and PhD in American History from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. He has served as chair of Leisure Studies and head of the Division of Physical Education at the University of Iowa. He has worked as a consultant to unions and businesses interested in shorter work hours and the potential of leisure to improve the community and workplace. Hunnicutt is a member of the Academy of Leisure Sciences and past co-director of the Society for the Reduction of Human Labor.

Prof. Warren Darling received his PhD in Physiology from the University of Western Ontario. He has served as chair of the Health and Human Physiology Department. His research involve studies of: (1) recovery of hand/digit motor function after brain injury, (2) proprioception/kinesthesia of the upper limb in healthy adults and after brain injury, (3) effects of exercise and dietary interventions on motor and cognitive function in progressive neurological diseases such as Parkinson's Disease and multiple sclerosis.
